While the Des Moines Choral Society is a volunteer organization, we have many expenses, including a stipend for the director, fees for guest instrumentalists,  music for the singers, and performance hall charges. You can help the Choral Society continue its excellence in music by becoming a contributor. The Des Moines Choral Society welcomes donations from individuals, corporations, and businesses. The Choral Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization; donations are tax-deductible.

Giving categories:

  • Presto ($5,000 or more)

  • Vivace ($2,500 – $4,999)

  • Allegro ($1,000 – $2,499)

  • Andante ($500 – $999)

  • Adagio ($250 – $499)

  • Maestoso ($100 – $249)

  • Largo (up to $99)

Other giving opportunities:

  • Many companies will match contributions to nonprofits; be sure to inquire with your company's Community Relations manager

Sustaining Friends

Sustaining Friends give the Des Moines Choral Society an ongoing source of programming dollars. These monthly gifts allow us to focus our efforts on bringing our supporters and audience the quality of concerts, musicians, and artistic direction that they enjoy. Sustaining Friends agree to make recurring monthly gifts as a pledge of support. These amounts are charged automatically to the Friend's credit card. Sustaining Friends' donations are automatically renewed year after year, eliminating renewal notices. Monthly giving makes it easier for donors to budget for their support. To become a member of Sustaining Friends, donations start at a minimum of $10.00 per month. This allows you to budget your support and allows us to rely on sustainable giving. [top]
