PLEASE NOTE that rehearsals are held once a week on Sunday evenings, 6:30 - 9:00 PM in Des Moines, and dress rehearsals are typically held on the Friday before a Saturday concert.

Auditions for singers not currently members of the Choral Society consist of singing a prepared solo (limited accompaniment is provided), vocalizations, sight reading, and tonal memory exercises. The audition for current singers will include singing excerpts from music recently learned and performed in a Choral Society concert.

Auditions during the season are usually held in the rehearsal space before the choir meets. A greeter will be there to help to fill out forms and answer questions. The audition will last approximately 10 minutes. Auditionees should come 10 minutes early to fill out the forms. A room nearby with a piano may be available to warm up if desired.   [RETURN]
