It’s the one you come back for, year after year - ring in the holiday season once more at our annual festive Christmas concert! This year’s performance will feature historical gems by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Hassler, contemporary works by Maniano, Esenvalds, Clausen, and Gibbs, as well as numerous beloved and traditional Christmas carols with orchestra. Join us on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. Ambrose Cathedral for an inspiring program of great works and seasonal favorites, all in celebration of the Christmas spirit. Together with chamber orchestra, piano, and soloists, the Des Moines Choral Society will fill the cathedral with the joy of the season!
For those interested in learning a little more about the music we’ll be performing, we’re hosting our first Pre-Concert Conversation beginning at 6:30 pm at the St. Ambrose Parish Center. This conversation will end in time for you to enter the church prior to the house opening at 7:00 pm.
Also, please consider bringing a donation of a non-perishable food item for a local food pantry. Your gift will help another family enjoy the holiday season!

St Ambrose Cathedral is located at 607 High Street in Des Moines. Parking is available north of the church and on Watson Powell Jr. Drive. The east door is a handicapped entrance to the Cathedral. Doors open at 7:00 PM; concert starts at 7:30 PM
